Zach Luther

I am a fifth-year Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Economics at Vanderbilt University. I received my M.S. in Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics from Michigan State University in 2020.

I study problems in the innovation, diffusion, and adoption of new technologies. Currently, I study how innovators strategically innovate and diffuse their technologies internationally using both structural modeling and reduced-form methods. My past research used contingent valuation methods to explore how landowners adopt technologies that mitigate environmental pollution.Â
